I hope the OP's family member got some R&S or Kumon wb's, Starfall and Sesame St. Alas, having some kind of academic road to go down was far cheaper and easier to justify. You don't need gizmos or apps, just tell your kid his pizza is a circle and his shoes are green and you'll be pretty much set. I think it's called having a learning-rich environment.
